Children and staff at Busy Bees Salford are celebrating after receiving an ‘Outstanding’ rating, following an Ofsted inspection.
The Ofsted inspector commented that the children “demonstrate high levels of energy and excitement” and “show a passion for learning and exploring”. The nursery gained an ‘Outstanding’ in all areas, and it was also noted that children “show kindness and concern for one another as they play harmoniously together”.
The staff at the nursery were recognised for following children’s interest in their play and that they have “an impressive knowledge of children’s individual capabilities, learning styles and what makes them unique”. The staff were also recognised for planning and delivering “an inspiring and wholly captivating curriculum” that is informed by their observations and partnership with parents.
Ofsted also noted that the staff “expertly challenge children through superb activities that capture children’s interests and what they need to learn next” and that “children’s distinct characteristics are warmly celebrated and their heritage and culture and reflected in the environment and learning opportunities”.
Ofsted praised the nursery’s partnership with parents and their frequent parent workshops and parent forums to ensure “they have a voice on the strategic development of the nursery”.
Child development was also given a special mention as Ofsted highlighted that “excellent consideration is given to children’s physical and emotional wellbeing”. The nursery was also praised for offering superb “support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities”.
