How Leapfrog Childcare Vouchers can help you...

The Leapfrog Childcare Voucher scheme is designed to allow you the flexibility and freedom to choose the method of childcare you prefer, whilst saving significant amounts on the actual cost of this care.

The scheme is very easy to participate in and involves you receiving part of your remuneration (up to a maximum of £55 per week or £243 per month) as Leapfrog Childcare Vouchers. This amount of your salary does not attract Tax or National Insurance contributions and therefore becomes a saving for you, leaving you with more disposable income.

The amount you save is dependant on your individual circumstances

•  a basic rate taxpayer (22%) can save up to £962 per year

•  a higher rate taxpayer (40%) can save up to £1196 per year

What's more, both parents can request to take part of their remuneration as Leapfrog Childcare Vouchers, therefore doubling the tax-free entitlement.

How can I use Leapfrog Childcare Vouchers?

Leapfrog Childcare Vouchers can be used to pay for childcare for children aged from 0-15 years old, and can be used to pay for any approved or registered childcare provider, including: -

•  Day Nurseries

•  Childminders / Nannies

•  Crèches

•  Before and After School Clubs

•  Holiday Clubs

NB: If your Childcare Provider falls in to any of the above categories, they will need to provide a copy of their OFSTED Registration Certificate and subsequent renewals.

How do I join the Leapfrog Childcare Voucher scheme?

To take advantage of the Leapfrog Childcare Voucher scheme, first of all, your Employer needs to be registered with us as a Voucher Partner.

What happens when I join the scheme?

When you join the Leapfrog Childcare Voucher scheme, you will receive an information pack which will include information for you to hand to your Childcare Provider for them to register with Leapfrog Childcare Vouchers.

Leapfrog Childcare Vouchers can be used as full or part payment of your childcare costs, and your childcare provider will be paid via BACS transfer from Leapfrog within five working days.

When you have joined the Leapfrog Childcare Voucher scheme, you will need to complete a 'Registration and Agreement' form, and hand to your HR Dept, download this here

You will also need to complete a 'Variation of Contract' form, which gives your Employer permission to amend your contract, so you can receive part of your salary as Childcare Vouchers.  Please print this off and hand to your HR Dept, download this here
